In case you missed it, I’m currently obsessed with making my own homemade salad dressings. I never realized how incredibly easy it was and how much healthier I could make delicious dressings at home. We eat A LOT of salads and I love creating homemade salad dressings I actually feel great about eating and feeding my family. When I ran out of my homemade honey mustard vinaigrette, instead of making more, I decided to search for something even cleaner. This Clean and Tangy Sunflower Dressing is just as easy, equally amazing, and best of all, even healthier! Dairy, soy and gluten free, this dressing begs you to indulge in its good-for-you vegan glory.

To make your own Clean and Tangy Sunflower Dressing, you will need: 1/2 cup water, 1/4 cup sunflower seed butter, 1/4 cup lemon juice (juice of 1 large lemon), 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 3 cloves minced garlic, and 1/8 teaspoon sea salt.
This is really too easy, simply add all the ingredients to a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake until thoroughly combined! Keep extra in the fridge for up to 1 week. Now go enjoy that salad with as much dressing as your heart desires!

I have a new cookbook obsession, “The Superfood Swap,” by Dawn Jackson Blatner, RDN. Do you ever go through cookbooks and make a list of the recipes you want to try? I do, and when I started going through this one I soon realized that I was basically just copying the index! I finally gave up when my list filled the entire sheet of paper and I decided to just cook the whole darn thing. Lucky for me, the recipes are super healthy! If you’re looking for new cooking inspiration, I highly recommend Dawn’s book, it’s not just a cookbook either, it’s a plan for a healthier lifestyle!
