Looking for something fun to make this St. Patrick’s Day? Skip the crowds and make your own Frozen Grasshopper Shooters at home! These fun drinks (uh, desserts??) are simple to whip up and taste amazing. Probably doesn’t hurt the main ingredient is vanilla ice cream topped with even more indulgence in the form of whipped cream and crème de menthe baking chips! It’s a holiday, celebrate (responsibly ;))!

To make your own Frozen Grasshopper Shooters, you will need: 3 ounces green crème de menthe, 2 ounces clear crème de cacao, about 8 ice cubes, and 2 nice sized scoops of vanilla ice cream. If you’d like, and I highly recommend it, you can top each one with some whipped cream and a sprinkling of Andes crème de menthe baking chips. I made my own whipped cream but store-bought would work just as well (and then you wouldn’t have to pipe it on to make it look “fancy”).
As I’ve mentioned several times before, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY MAGIC BULLET! So, obviously, I used it to make these shooters. Only two parts to wash, I’d choose this thing over a full-sized blender ANY DAY! And I did. As soon as I received my magic bullet years ago, I donated my blender and I haven’t missed it one bit.
Back to the recipe. Place the crème de menthe and cacao, ice cubes, and vanilla ice cream in your blending tool of choice and blend until smooth. Pour into shooters and top with whipped cream and baking bits, if you desire. Super easy and so delish, enjoy!
These Soft and Chewy Mint Chocolate Cookies would round out your St. Patrick’s Day nicely!
Below you will find some of the equipment I found useful while preparing these Frozen Grasshopper Shooters. I only recommend items that I actually own and use.
