I absolutely LOVE the Perfect 10 protein smoothie from Juice Stop. It’s the perfect blend of orangy (may or may not be an actual word), creamy heaven. Now that the weather has decided to finally warm up, I was ready to try to recreate this heavenly concoction at home. The Mandarin Orange Coconut Creamsicle Protein Smoothie I created is even better than the expensive, sugar loaded version from my former favorite smoothie shop!
While finding the exact recipe used by the smoothie chain was impossible, I did find that the main ingredients were orange juice, orange sherbet and yogurt. I knew immediately that I wanted to try to find a healthier substitute for the orange sherbet (I want to feel GOOD about my protein smoothie!), and try to keep any additional/artificial sweeteners to a minimum.

To make your own Mandarin Orange Coconut Creamsicle Protein Smoothie, you will need: 1/3 cup coconut milk solids, 1 tablespoon coconut milk liquid, 1/2 cup frozen mandarin oranges, 3 tablespoons frozen pulp-free orange juice concentrate, 1 cup vanilla non-fat Greek yogurt, and 2 tablespoons protein powder (I use unflavored pea protein, vanilla would work as well.)
As I’ve mentioned several times before, I LOVE my magic bullet! I use it to make all my protein shakes and smoothies. It’s also great for frozen cocktails (or mocktails) like Frozen Grasshopper Shooters. I use the magic bullet to puree tomatoes when I don’t have any tomato sauce, etc. It is super handy, easy to use and store, and dishwasher safe! I traded in my full-size blender years ago when I got my magic bullet and I’ve never regretted it.
That being said, throw all the ingredients into your favorite blender and enjoy!
