My never-ending love affair with smoked paprika is only getting stronger. I’ve paired my favorite spice with my all-time favorite snack to create an addicting, yet light, snacky party food. Skinny Smoked Popcorn Party Mix looks classy enough for any soiree, and guests will appreciate a low-cal alternative to the typical party fare.
This party mix is super easy to prepare and can be made way ahead of time to cut back on last minute party tasks. Simple to double or triple, this is one treat that won’t be leftover!

Preheat your oven to 275°F. Gather your ingredients. You will need about nine cups popped popcorn. I made my own on the stove top, you can find that recipe here. Also, two cups chex cereal (I used corn, it’s whatever variety you prefer,) half a cup mixed nuts, one tablespoon sunflower oil, 1.5 teaspoons smoked paprika, and half a teaspoon salt. My mixed nuts were lightly salted with sea salt, and I also used sea salt in this recipe. You can substitute olive oil for the sunflower oil if you prefer, I love the flavor the sunflower oil gives the popcorn.
Combine the popcorn, cereal, and nuts together in a large bowl. Mix the sunflower oil, smoked paprika and salt together in a small bowl. Stir well to incorporate with a fork and drizzle the oil mixture over the popcorn mixture. Use a wooden spoon to evenly coat the dry mixture. Pour everything onto a 12 X 18″ sheet pan, sprinkle with a little more smoked paprika and sea salt, and bake for about 15 minutes.
That’s it! So simple. You can make this Skinny Smoked Popcorn Party Mix up to one week ahead of time and store in an airtight container. This recipe makes 11 cups, and is easy to double or triple. Enjoy!
